For the sake of brevity, I'll disclose no trivial personal details or append any of those oft-rampant clichés.
"I cannot teach anybody anything, I can only make them think." -Socartes

Read whatever you can get your hands on! Anything will suffice.
Read a magazine. Read a book. Read the back of a box of cereal. Watch a foreign movie and read the subtitles. Read a poem. Read song lyrics if you don't like poems (they're actually one in the same).
I don't care what you read: just as long as you read something!
YOUR BRAIN. EVERYTHING ELSE WILL BE PROVIDED FOR YOU.
English II should not be dreaded. Sure, there's the MAAP English II EOC Assessment that we'll have to deal with during "testing season." However, that doesn't mean that we can't have fun and improve our abilities to read, write, and think.
My only "rules": Don't be a jerk, use your brain, and G.S.D.!
